Housatonic Anglers, Fly Fishing Guide Service,  From beginner to expert they have the knowledge and experience to make your day or weekend of fly-fishing a memorable one.  Rob Nicholas is a certified casting instructor with over 20 years of fly fishing experience and 7 years of guiding on the Housatonic River.  Rob and his guides will show you the secrets of this wonderful fishery.  All trips include flies, equipment, and a homemade gourmet lunch.

Lime Rock Park, The Road Racing Center of the East hosts some of the largest spectator events in New England and is the home of the Skip Barber Racing and Driving Schools.  Events include Sports Car races, Vintage and Historic Automobile races, and the NASCAR Season Finale.


Litchfield Performing Arts/Litchfield Jazz Festival Professional classical ensembles and soloists perform on selected weekends from Sept.-May.  Jazz and dance performances held at local college.

Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, Yale School of Music, Ellen Battell Stoeckel Estate, Concerts in an old world setting by world renowned artists & ensembles.  June-Aug.  Thurs.-Sun.  Visitors may picnic & stroll the estate prior to performances.

White Memorial Foundation & Conservation Center, 4,000 acre nature preserve with 35 miles of trails for hiking, cross-country skiing, bird-watching, picnicking, camping & boating.  Newly expanded nature museum contains unique exhibits depicting the history & natural resources of the area, as well as a Children’s Room & Nature Store.  Museum open year-round, Mon.-Sat. 9 to 5; Sun. noon to 4.


Torrington Historical Society,  The Society consists of the Hotchkiss-Flyer House Museum, a research library & local history collections.  Exhibits include the award winning “Pursuit of Precision”, a re-creation of a 1930 machine shop.
